Wounded Healers
I promised to reveal a new publication today! It’s a project I’ve been involved with through Women of the Way Ministries. Each of the twelve women who share their stories in “Wounded Healers” have been tattered and torn by life. Faith is what has brought us together and what’s stitched us back together after loss, hardship, pain or other trauma to the mind, body or spirit.
The stories are raw yet glorious because they’ve brought change or new relationships with self and others. Each author a survivor and to be commended for their bravery in daring to dream, discover and explore new ways of living.
The publication will be available the first week of April through Amazon.com and other major on-line booksellers. Baker & Taylor as well as NACSCORP will distribute it to wholesale outlets and universities.
The royalties from your purchase of this publication will go to Freedom Service Dogs of America. A non-profit organization that all twelve of us agreed to support wholeheartly. The specially trained dogs enhance the lives of people in many communities. “Clients include children, veterans and active duty military, and other adults. Their disabilities include autism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and post-traumatic stress disorder.”
The mission of this publishing project “sits well within my soul.” By opening our hearts, we women hope to help other people.
