Whims of the Heart
Quilted Image (above) by Carol Ann Waugh, award-winning fiber artist
Have you ever heard the expression “Go where the heart leads you?”
Last week I did something completely on a whim. Had I not followed my heart, I would have missed out.
That morning I saw an advertised event in the Happenings section of Steamboat Today newspaper. It read something like this: Delectable Mountain Quilters Guild is having a live and silent auction this evening at the Community Center. Since I was headed to an open house on the same side of town at the Steamboat Hair Company anyway, I decided to stop by on my way home.
The quilters guild gathering was delightful. A well-organized event with a seemingly close knit group. The women were so welcoming and the camaradery gave me such warm-hearted feelings!
Today, I thought I’d share a few pictures. Others will be shared in the future.

Lots of good deals!
Thank you Delectable Mountain Quilters Guild for opening this event up to the public.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
