“Busy is a choice. Stress is a choice. Joy is a choice. Choose well” ~ Ann Voskamp
Lately, I have been pondering how what we hear in the media affects us. A few months ago, I did away with the television and what a different kind of existence it has been not having to listen to either sides of political controversy. By using my free will and removing myself from the “if it bleeds, it leads” channels of needless “negative junk” has allowed me to tune into only what I feel is valuable and useful to me. We are fortunate to live in an era when there are “build your broadcast choices.”
Positive oratory inspires and motivates. I believe in self-development and always work toward being a better version of myself. I know I will never run out of work! There is no such thing as a perfect human being. We all leave crumbs somewhere on the floor.
People who have left us with the biggest impact are those who have known struggle. Challenges serve useful purposes when shared in a very positive way. I encourage others to write their stories down because writing has healing qualities. Some day, you may want to publish your story for the benefit of others.
