In his holy flirtation with the world, God occasionally drops a pocket handkerchief. These handkerchiefs are called saints. ~ William Buechner
Today’s blog is essentially a note of gratitude to all who have provided friendship and emotional support to me and my siblings over the past year. A year ago this month we lost of both of our parents and today we especially remember Dad’s departure from earth. It would be impossible to make a list of all who have been there with emotional support for our family. But you know who you are and your presence has added color when at times our spirits have waned and faded!
Today, I’ll end this note of thank you with the beautiful words of another author, Jennifer Donnelly. Her sentiments are so lovely.
They leave things behind sometimes, …A crumpled handkerchief… A pearl button… And sometimes they leave other sorts of things. Things you can’t see… A sigh trapped in a corner… Memories tangled in the curtains. A sob fluttering against the windowpane like a bird that flew in and can’t get back out... ~ Jennifer Donnelly
