Skipping Chapters
Closing out chapters of our lives is both exhilarating and scary! I’m about to move away from a place where I spent eighteen years which included a very difficult period in my infancy and early childhood. Then, I moved away for about 40 years until I returned again to the place of my roots when I suddenly became primary caretaker to two terminally ill parents. Sometimes life throws us those unexpected curve balls.
You know what? There were blessings that came along with every challenge in my youth and during this most recent difficult time. Every day angels and a heap of faith helped me through the unimaginable.
As much as we human beings would like to pick and choose only our favorite chapters in our lives, we’d miss out on so many characters who become integral to our life story. Some of those characters present us with challenges and others lift us up but every one of them teach us lessons.
Life is about accepting the challenges along the way, choosing to keep moving forward, and savoring the journey.”
