Return of an Angel
“When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.”
Over the past few weeks my twin sister and I have been completely consumed with resolving eldercare issues with our parents. Our brothers too have offered helping hands. Each of us contributes in our own special way – doing what we can to accomplish the necessary tasks. To be honest, at times it has come with heart-wrenching decisions leaving us feeling wrung out. Because we are human beings, life comes with a full range of emotions we must deal with – happy, sad, grievous, pain, doubt, sorrow and more.
In the midst of it all, several times it’s become apparent that reincarnation may very well be real. Ordinary people, with the giving spirit of our dear Fanny (a stellar character in my memoir) have appeared when we’ve needed them most. They’ve served as our “angels of the day” in guiding and offering loving suggestions regarding the care of our parents.
Christmas has come early this year in the appearance of everyday angels to lighten the way. Amen and hallelujia!
