On God’s Clock
Is it just my way of thinking or do you feel like many more people have been able to get a glimpse into what being on God’s time means? Many lives have been interrupted, put on hold or at least, are facing unknowns in this season of pandemic.
Like the seeds we planted in the spring, we don’t know with certainty when or if life, as we knew it, will bloom again. How long will this season of living with a new confounding virus last?
I recently wrote a biography for an artist and after it was published in December the artist Rich Galusha and his wife Shirley Stocks promised to send me a supply of books for signings and such. Well, then the pandemic hit and shipping became restricted to only essential items. “We will get the books to you,” said Rich and Shirley, “but we are not sure when.”
No problem! Everything I’d scheduled had been put on hold anyway and everyone has been living with a wait and see attitude.
One day about two weeks ago guess what I opened? A box! A carton of books bearing stickers announcing “Excellence in Independent Publishing. ” Had the books come to me earlier the award stickers wouldn’t have been put on them yet!
Coincidentally the books arrived the same day my Shirley’s poppies began blooming. Divine timing it was which can only happen on God’s wrist watch since we have no control over Mother Nature’s actions.
How do you like my beauties?
