Oh, for the Love of a Dog
“All his life he tried to be a good person. Many times, however, he failed. For after all, he was only human. He wasn’t a dog.” – Charles M Schulz (cartoonist, “Peanuts”)
If you’ve ever enjoyed a deep, long-lasting relationship with a dog you realize how pets become “saving graces.” As companions and confidents, they’re all ears.
It’s for this reason the twelve authors of Wounded Healers have chosen Freedom Dogs of America as the beneficiary of any profits made on the publication. Many of us who have provided written testimonials , and perhaps all, have turned to our dogs to console us in times of trouble and distress. We’ve also celebrated in joy and happiness with our canines by our sides.
Who is more deserving of a loyal companion than those whose minds, bodies and spirits need uplifting due to disability, disease or traumatic injury?
