Research on the power of prayer in healing has nearly doubled in the past 10 years, ” says David Larson, MD, MSPH, president of the National Institute for Healthcare Research, a private nonprofit agency.

Articles both support and reject the connection between healing and prayer. However, in my opinion just believing in the benefits of prayer gives a person hope. Afterall, the mind is a very powerful thing.

Could it be when medical professionals pray together it gives an extra measure of  reassurance to the patient that they are in good hands? Possibly! I suppose it depends on each patient’s attitude towards prayer.
