Lost and Found

A few weeks ago I moved to a new place. In my daily morning walk I found a Little Free Library about a half-block away. It’s perched on a corner lot at someone’s home right in my neighborhood! I am one nosy gal when it comes to books. I just can’t help myself. Being snoopy Sue, I had to open the door and read the titles. To my delight a found a book that I have owned and given away several times previously called Simple Abundance.

I received my first copy in 1995, right after it was published. My Mom gifted her twins, Jan and Sue each with a copy since she enjoyed it so much. With each move I’ve made since, regretfully I’ve had to give the book along with many other treasured titles away. Yet fortunately, I’ve somehow always found the title back on my bookshelf again by unusual circumstance. Perhaps Joseph Campbell’s quote rings true. “Unless you leave room for serendipity, how can the divine step in?”

I am so appreciative to find a copy of the book back in my possession I have donated a few of my own titles to the Little Free Library on the corner up the street. I hope the Universe will help my publications find a home and they will land in the hands of a few people who will enjoy them.
