- Have you ever heard the expression “Karma never loses an address?” Today on SowtheHeart.com I’m going to share a short story relating to one of life’s little theories “what goes around comes around.”
This morning I was misdirected by Google Maps when I was looking for Bendann Art Galleries a fine art gallery in existence in the Baltimore area since I was a child. When I arrived at my destination and couldn’t find the sign I got out of my car and went into a store to ask directions. As soon as I walked in I thought, Oh happy day! It’s a consignment shop! I believe it was meant to happen! You see, ever since I volunteered for ten years at a thriftshop called Lift-Up, I’ve become a consignment shop connoisseur. I am naturally drawn into checking out other similar places. The two women working at the consignment shop Karma, could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The prices were outstanding as was the inventory. The overall feel of the retail space was fun and welcoming. And how can you walk away empty-handed when there’s a stylish XS shirt hanging right in front of you for the price of a cup of gourmet coffee? Extra smalls and a deal like that are not easy to come by – that’s why I like to appreciate the little things in life!
After I was finished browsing Karma, the sales gals sent me over to the neighboring Kenwood Kitchens saying “more than likely they can direct you where you need to go.” And indeed they did! The kitchen shop employee even took the time to draw me out an easy to follow map on paper which incidently led me right to a fine art studio but not to the place I had not gone in search of – Bendann Art Galleries. Zoll Fine Art Studio was a wonderful find. I was able to learn of a place where many art students are trained and then go on to some of the finest art colleges in the country. Although their offerings are diverse, representational art paintings seems to be their center of focus.
Perhaps more about that later, so check in again to SowtheHeart.com where one story often leads to the next!
