Attention baby boomers and the next generations! We are all in this together, so I have you and me in mind in today’s post.
Wouldn’t it be a fabulous thing if the U.S. of A. could climb the ranks of the ladder of satisfaction and be up there with those countries that are at the top on the World Happiness Report? I don’t know about you but, I am tired of the American people being reported as being grumpy, down in the mouth and frankly, rather miserable. Each one of us is in charge of our own happiness.
Do you baby boomers remember Joann Fabrics from your teen years? It was a really hot business back in the 1970s and it still exists. This Ohio-based chain store is getting a face lift along with a timely attitude adjustment. A very select number of stores will be the first to update their image. The town I just moved to, Bel Air, Maryland, has one of the select JoAnn Stores.
With the holiday celebrations coming up and with some people determined to return to some simple old-fashioned values, perhaps homemade gifts will see a resurgence. You can bet Santa’s booty (or your Christmas stocking) I’ve checked the place out and there are more ways than you can even imagine to create and fulfill some Christmas wishes with handmade happiness.
“Being happy is something that each of us determines, it is not something that we find outside of yourself, it is within us and our choice.” – Catherine Pulsifer
