You choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color. ~ Gary Oldman
It’s February – Heart Month! Today, I am going to share a story that will warm your heart right down to the arteries in your tippy toes. It is about a super, special-needs entrepreneur who received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2019. His business is a joint effort with his father. The mission of his business is to spread happiness by inspiring others and by giving back.
John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down’s Syndrome, spreads happiness through colorful socks he has designed, manufactured and sells through retail outlets. If you have ever seen him interviewed on TV, his enthusiasm for his crazy socks is infectiously inspirational. He is a wonderful example of what a person can do despite developmental disabilities. To read the full story and learn more about the organizations he partners with, please visit the website for John’s Crazy Socks.
Need another good news story to warm your inners on this wintry day? Here is more good reading about a mother whose love for her special needs child has helped him integrate into the working world.
Both of today’s stories are about seeing the good in others as if through the eyes of God with charity towards all.
