It’s seems like prophetic stuff! All the natural weather disasters happening in this country and around the world are taxing FEMA and other relief and charitable organizations to the hilt. Praises for the good Samaritans who are willing to sacrifice in order to save the lives of others.
Rain, winds and fire are just a few things which demonstrate no matter what we do to control of our lives, something much more powerful ultimately steers our fate.
Jacquie McTaggart once said. “Just as a house needs a foundation in order to stand firm, so does a person.” Because unexpected change and circumstances come to each one of us, building strong, resilient individuals who cope well with the difficult obstacles is important to society. No one is exempt from tough journeys. I like this article which gives tips to how to build strong family units.
During these times, I can’t help but reflect on the story about the wise man in the Bible. “…be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
As I end this blog post, I’d like to say thank you to my parents. As with many people, I’ve survived my fair share of storms in life but each time I’ve come out a little bit stronger. Mom and Dad, thanks for showing me how to be resilient through your shining examples.
