Community organizations and businesses that partner together can accomplish so much. On Saturday, August 29 from 9am to 1pm an event will profit the food missions of the Bel Air United Methodist Church. Attendees are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items to the Independent Bookstore Day celebration being hosted by Caprichios Books in partnership with the Harford Artist Gallery in historic downtown Bel Air, “the heart of Harford County, MD.”
Sue Leonard will be signing the latest book she authored titled Richard Galusha: An Artist’s Journey which was the recipient of a finalist award in the national Eric Hoffer Book Awards. This 228 page image-filled book tells the story of a lifetime of influences Texas boy Richard Galusha had along his path to becoming an an art teacher, gallery owner, and well-renown artist. A retrospective of his paintings from around the world are included in this gorgeous book.
The event will be held outdoors to stay within the COVID-19 regulations. Food trucks, make and take crafts for kids, author book signings and art from Harford Art Gallery will be for sale.
