Charity toward All

Last Sunday was International Friendship Day. I invited my friend from Macedonia over to a tea for two. She is like no one I have ever known before the way she makes an art of friendship and charity towards all.  Her friends come from a diversity of cultures.  The way she reaches out to others is a beautiful thing and I must do better to extend myself.

From the time I came to this place in life she has been helping me navigate a new community. I’ve learned so much from her friendship and the things she’s told me about her culture.

Thank you my Macedonian friend, the kindness and love you have brought from your country will never be forgotten.
