Family is so very precious and lately I’ve needed to put my full attention on my aging parents. It’s not a demand, its a privilege. I’ve always enjoyed being with them in any circumstance and for just a little while other things have been put aside.
Being a goal-oriented person, I need to let go and just be. Be present in the moment and forget what comes next or thinking about things that are nagging me to press forward.
During this recess, mindfulness has been important. According to this article in Psychology Today, there are health benefits from being fully present and being fully focused.
