Parable of the Sower
- “Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust
Gardiners all around the country are getting ready for the growing season. Choosing seeds and improving the soil for optimum growing conditions is what farmers and home gardeners concern themselves with during spring.
Ideal growing conditions do not exist if:
*If the soil is too hard and the seed can not sprout and take root.
*If the soil is too shallow, the roots can not grow deep and well-secure the plant.
*If seeds are planted in a patch with gnarly weeds, new growth will be choked out.
Only in good growing conditions will a plant become fruitful and reach it’s full potential.
The parable of the sower teaches us the human spirit has a symbiotic relationship with the conditions we surround ourselves with. If the environment is healthy, the human spirit is nurtured and grows. If not it withers.
