Hearts at Risk

“Look!” I said to my husband as we gazed up at the four Presidential faces on Mt. Rushmore. “President Abraham Lincoln and President George Washington are crying for  our country.” It was an overcast, rainy day and our second visit to Mt. Rushmore. Our first came in 1979. The rain created what looked like tears that ran from the eyes of the two of the four presidents memorialized in stone. My remark came fresh off the news of another tragic incident that our country has grown all to accustomed to hearing.

No matter your political persuasion please pray for our leaders and citizens and for harmony in our country’s future. It’s been a difficult time for many of America’s people.
