“The best crop of a garden, year after year, is hope.” ~ Robert Rodale
Time to stock the larder! An abundance of produce from the garden is evidence of a good summer with cooperative weather conducive to growth. There’s great fulfillment in opening a jar of “put up” fruits of the vine midwinter. And even more satisfying is stocking the pantry with extra jars to share the harvest with others.
Feeling challenged to increase the bounty in your life? Here is a recipe that will add a little fun, purity and wholesomeness in your house.
We have some interesting provisions sitting in our pantry this fall – Root beer jelly and raspberry habanero jelly, thanks to a neighborly young couple with two precious young children. Their generosity of spirit is greatly appreciated. We look forward to popping the top and digging in.
Happy Canning Season!
