School of Hard Knocks

A few weeks ago, I and six out of twelve of my fellow authors had a book signing for Wounded Healers at Off the Beaten Path in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Each one of us were raised in different places, yet, we all have attended the same school at one time or another – The School of Hard Knocks. The lessons learned at that academy is what brought us together to collaborate on the publication. Perhaps you’ve had a stint there too!
From our varying experiences, a consensus thought among us could probably be stated simply like this:
Another common agreement is the mission to which the proceeds of this publication will go to support – Freedom Service Dogs of America. Each of us have had pets to walk the walk with when life was too difficult.
