My last visit to this community which was at least ten years ago was rather bittersweet. One of my beloved college friends whom I’d come with didn’t have many days left on this earth.
Stowe, Vermont is a place where I spent much time in my college and post college years living and working.
Since then I’ve been so very fortunate to find myself in other charming places to reside. In fact, when someone asks me where I am from, its difficult to pinpoint just one when the memories of each place I’ve lived hold significant turning points in my life story. Not even to mention people I met along the way who have made me who I am.
Despite the chilly rain that came with my return to this splendid place, my spirit warmed as I spent time back in my old stomping grounds.
There’s always more space for new memory making in this place that has always held a special place in my heart. My fondness for this classy, classic place in New England could never be diminished.
Come on back to this three part blog series so I can share a bit more of the community with you because it goes beyond ski culture.
