Community Christmas – Sow The Heart: One Story at a Time
Christmas Isnt A Season Its A Feeling

Community Christmas

Yesterday I had the most delightful afternoon joining in with other community volunteers and the local chapter of Evergreen Garden Club in Churchville, MD to help ready for Saturday’s Holiday Open house at Liriodendron Mansion. We were making floral Christmas arrangements to sell and our activity will continue on a second day.

It was so much fun to see what each of us could do creatively with the great assortment of containers, vases and urns filling and arranging them with pines, cedar, magnolia leaves, dried seed pods, pinecones, balsams, boxwoods. And there were also wonderful bows, ribbons and other embellishments. I enjoyed the camaraderie as we were offered from others encouragement, suggestions and help of how to put together our visions.

For those near Bel Air, the Heart of Harford County, stop by the Open House at Liriodendron Mansion on Saturday, December 3rd from 10am to 5pm. Tour the Historic Mansion, shop from local vendors (artisans) and get your greenery for holiday decorating your home. Christmas in Bel Air is a very special time of year with all sorts of art and holiday entertainment happening.

Here is a little peek at some of the holiday arrangements which will be available for sale on Saturday. I won’t tell you which of these arrangements were done by yours truly, I’ll let you guess. I made several out of nearly 50 made on Thursday.
