2022: Creative Magnets
The following post is written to give readers a little insight into Sue Leonard’s newly released publication Heart of Community.
One day, as Moxie was discussing with Matt, her old friend from years ago whom she had rekindled a friendship with, the new direction her life was going to take.
“Matt,” she asked, “Have you ever noticed how creative beings are kindred spirits?”
“Apparently, so! This new venture seems to be drawing attention in ways I never thought possible and we haven’t even completed our mission statement yet.”
“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the very thing. I read something that puts into new context some of the ideas we have been discussing. Let me read it to you and see what you think.”
Matt, listened to the quote attentively and quietly. He let it sink in before responding.
“Perfect, Moxie, perfect! It’s as if a kindred soul has been reading our minds.”
“We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year…we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives… not looking for flaws, but for potential.” – Ellen Goodman
