An Irish Blessing for a Grandchild

Happy St Patty’s Day, everyone!

Over the past few weeks my mind has been on my little granddaughter who has some Irish roots. She turned three on March 1st – already!! Little Charlotte Helen has had my heart from afar and with each photo I see of her I am reminded what a gift all children are. Each time I have a chance to be with her, it’s a blessing and our heartstrings for one another grow stronger.

On this St. Patty’s Day, I’d like to share a children’s prayer –

To all the other grandparents who are encouraging a few spiritual values from generation to generation –  cheers to you, my peers! 

To My Dear Little Lassie Charlotte Helen ~

On cloudy days and sunny days

 Through fog and haze,

                                                    In wind and in snow,                                                      

                                                            Just want you to know

                                                            As you sleep in your bed

                                                             God, is just overhead.
