America’s Respair Basket – Sow The Heart: One Story at a Time

America’s Respair Basket

The previous posts on June 24  and June 28th were good segways into today’s post where we will be sharing words of a few other bloggers. The first is called The Respair Basket. It’s interesting learning from others about what was in their creative cache of things to do to get them through a period of unusual tension, loneliness, anxiety and challenge that came with the pandemic so one didn’t feel as if the whole world hadn’t gone “to hell in a handbasket.” Over the past months, on SowtheHeart.com I’ve shared with you many things I was doing creatively to get through.

Liz Neal, who has been journaling for more than 30 years, posted a reminder on her website, A Heart for Journaling about how important it is in the aftermath to write about the experience because it is a way of healing. Here is her post.

I am going to take a summer break from being a writer and blog mistress beginning tomorrow, July 4th, for meaningful summertime memory making.  If you read my award-winning memoir, Gift of a Lifetime: Finding Fulfilling Fulfilling Things in the Unexpected, you know how I love summer. Here is what a reviewer once said of the book.  And here is ordering information.

At the very end of the summer or more likely, early fall, it will be time to release my new book, a sequel to Sew the Heart. Book #2 in the Neighbor to Neighbor series will soon be a wrap and I’ll be onto getting the word out. More information about the new release when I return from my summertime respair break! I’m sure I will have plenty to say. In the meantime, there are 650+ posts on SowtheHeart.com about art, creativity, community, faith, living a spiritual and balanced life. Enjoy looking back on them.

Here is a great article about why it is important to teach children to be grateful for our country.
